Through fostering a collaborative process, Ellen Design Studio aims to deliver cohesive design that balances functionality and aesthetic within the constraints of budget and quality, emphasizing craftsmanship, clean lines, and a modern but warm aesthetic that refreshes the senses.

BIO

Ellen is a family name and the first name of Marcy’s great grandmother who was an artist and poet and encouraged Marcy’s creative energy throughout her adolescence. 

Marcy is a homegrown designer from West Seattle with over 15 years of experience working at award winning firms in the field of architecture and interior design with a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin. 

Marcy’s portfolio of experience covers a wide range of diverse project types ranging from large and complex with many stakeholders to small interventions for a single family all while highlighting comfort and function. Marcy’s craft is listening to clients, synthesizing and coalescing the many elements throughout the process from design to construction into a functional and cohesive design.
